to listen to "Courage: From Fear to Faith " (45 min.)
"How many of you have a fear of 'creatures' - rats/mice/snakes/spiders/bats?
I have "The Fear of What Other Mothers Will Think of Me."
the first fear behavior, WORRY, comes from the term, "to strangle."
Worry goes round and round, revisiting the fear again and again, turning into a noose that strangles you.
ANXIETY comes from the root word, "to choke." And, what's a common thing people choke on?
If you were wearing this, you'd forget about whatever you used to be anxious about!
The third fear behavior is lying - obscuring who I really am with some kind of mask.
Abraham's story shows us how to move from fear to faith.
